My design process
The process I undertook was to scope the project and the number of pages and activities that I would need at any stage of the design process. So, my process included stakeholder interviews, a user survey to validate my assumptions about users, analyzing the competitive environment, creating sketches and flows to gather and brainstorm the idea with the client and confirm a design direction and a final deliverable was an interactive prototype. The goal was to create a web application that would be both useful for business and provide convenient and efficient functionalities for users from the respective target groups.
The survey was conducted and there were 19 respondents, clients of the business which helped me to identify the two target groups the small and the medium enterprises - the brand managers, trade marketing managers sales managers, HR, marketing specialists,  and the individuals - graphic designers, entrepreneurs, plus all the hobby personas. The data showed us what the focus products should be and their order delivery preferences.
Research of competition & competitor analysis
In today's increasingly competitive business world, businesses need to be well-informed about their competitors and their operations. An accurate understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of competitors can lead to building a better position in the market to the successful development of the product strategy.
I created a competitive analysis for ordering advertising and hobby materials to study competitors in the Bulgarian market - J-point Workshop, WePrint, Mania Print, and ideate what is on the global market - VistaPrint.
The innovative approach I took and incorporating the USP that will diverse the platform from other Bulgarian competitors was to create a quick calculator on the homepage for the selected printing material to help better visualize the price levels by specific quantity and give more freedom for the customer to choose the right solution for its business. My research showed that the price levels of printing materials are essential when there is big competition in the local market and a quick and intuitive interface for ordering marketing materials as well. My idea was that this functionality should be present in the two most important pages - the home page and the product page, which would facilitate the user's choice and save him time.
The landing page is the most important element of any company's online presence. It represents the first visual environment in which consumers decide whether or not to become customers. So I used navigation in the style of the "mega menu" component, through which the user can quickly navigate the many product categories without losing context. I have added illustrations of informational icons that visually demonstrate the step-by-step process that gives the user an idea of the overall purchase process which highlights the ease of use and what users expect if they make a purchase. I prepared the product categories in a grid system and mockup images, where the most popular products stand out and create a feeling of something finished and real so that the user can get an idea of the final product.
The product page is the second most important element of the overall web presence of e-commerce platforms. To achieve an effective product page that drives real sales, I focused on the details that each user persona would need to customize, as well as what the business needed to get the order parameters right.
In each of the product pages, I added the different price levels calculated based on predefined quantities. I chose classic dropdowns for selection an "Order" button and a sticky product image on the left side while scrolling to product features.
Since the services are used by people with different backgrounds in printing materials, the design I chose to be more inclusive by adding FAQ sections to provide further clarification of printing requirements.
User attention and concentration change over time and from 12 seconds the concentration of customers has dropped to 3 - 4 seconds on average. The goal of any payment gateway is to provide the user with convenient information so they can quickly finalize their order without feeling confused. I designed the payment gateway as part of the multi-step form, so I could ease the task performance. This portal integrates various payment methods and ensures the security of customer data during the process.
With cash on delivery, larger amounts are prohibited, as they lead to an increased risk of losses for the business, so I deactivated the option above a certain amount.
